With reference to my despatch No. 377 of the

1st of September, 1931, I have the honour to transmit the schedule for the period 1st of July to 30th of September, 1931, of additional provision to meet expenditure in excess of the Estimate.

Items Nos. 3, 11 and 12 of the return for the second quarter of this year have now received the approval of Legislative Council and are represented by items Nos. 26 and 16 in the schedule for the third

quarter.

Reports Nos. 7, 8 and 9 of the proceedings of the Finance Committee are attached in support of the schedule.
